it‘s a peaceful morning in polis and a peaceful morning in lexa’s chambers as she and you lay together in bed after a long night of activities, both of you sleep soundly in each other’s arms as you suddenly get up, you sit up slowly trying not to wake lexa, you rub your eyes and yawns. lexa besides you stirs now a little too but at the end doesn’t wake up, you then turn towards window, watching the beautiful sunrise

a moment later you stay up from lexa’s bed, getting dressed (since you‘re completely naked) but then lexa turns around and whispers

„mmm morning beauty, sneaking out of your „own“ room?“

lexa asks, grinning and smiling as she looks you up and down, you then turn around you didn’t know lexa was awake

„morning sleepyhead, you looked so peaceful I didn’t want to wake you.“

you reply, smiling as all the memories from last night come flooded back into her head

„I know it’s early, it’s barely 6am but it’s just a routine meeting with some of my people and some other leaders. I’ll be back before you know it. keep resting, okay? I know how much you need it.

lexa smiles although she’s a bit disappointed that you have to leave already, but she nods and answers

„fine, but you know..I didn’t think I would ever feel like this again..“

you smile and before turning back to lexa, you reply with a soft voice

„if you mean happy, then get used to it.“

you wink, sliding into your pants, getting into your boots and grabbing one of lexa’s coats because you forgot yours in your own chambers. after you‘re done dressed you make your hair and grab your gun, putting it in the back of your jeans and your dagger in the holster on your thigh

„okay..see you later?..I think we got a war meeting together but later on, will i see you there?..“

you ask, walking towards door as while waiting for lexa’s answer.
