"I'm sorry, Liebling," Kurt said sheepishly, running a hand through his dark hair. "I should've asked if you minded me bringing dates over. My old roommate, you see, was accepting, and I was used to not having to ask..."

It'd been only a few weeks since Kurt's old roommate had graduated from the Royal Academy of Magicks. His new roommate, much to his surprise and delight, looked unique too. Kurt knew all about how hard it was for people like them to fit in, and he was determined to help his roommate any way he could.

Granted, it was hard to believe that he was an outcast when he kept bringing dates over. How could a guy who'd almost been killed by an angry mob be so successful at romance, right? Kurt wasn't sure either, but he wasn't going to pass up an opportunity for snuggling and beyond. Even back at the circus he'd been wildly popular, both with his peers and the crowd. It was his winning personality, people told him.

His winning personality didn't charm everyone, though, and many were still cruel to him, at times wanting hurt him. Still, he counted his blessings. And to him, his new roommate was another blessing to thank the gods daily for.

"Allow me to make it up to you, ja?" he said, a little bit of his native dialect slipping in. It happened when he was nervous or excited, which was always. "I'll take you somewhere nice! Wherever you want. We can bamf there in two shakes. Well, a couple extra shakes, if it is too far. I swear this time it won't be a disaster."

He hoped. Last time the two of them had ended up hiding in an alley from overzealous citizens sporting pitchforks and going on about monsters. Kurt had been a little tipsy and the area had been unfamiliar and dark, making teleporting too risky. They'd had a laugh about it after, but at the time, he'd been terrified that he'd brought his new friend into a death trap.

"Only places I know, with a clear view of the surroundings. No alcohol," he promised, a hand on his chest. "Was sagst du?"
