He couldn’t just leave a wolf pup that young alone, he may be a monster himself but it wasn’t his way to leave someone defenseless. With a huff and an internal scolding of himself, he approached the pup, standing a few good meters away so as to not scare the creature. König carefully knelt into the cold, his body aching from both the freezing temperatures and the fact he’d been walking for hours on end. He clicked his tongue gently, trying to coax {{user}} to come to him.

Surprisingly {{user}} was quick to follow his command, shuffling over to him in a clumsy way that was typical for young pups. The poor thing was dirty and shivering, having to been on their own for god knows how long. König gently reached out with his right hand, scratching at {{user}}’s head, being careful not to press to hard on their tiny frame.

König chuckled at {{user}}’s reaction, scooping them up into his left arm. {{user}} was tiny, they could easily fit into his large hands and they snuggled against his chest, seeking the warmth he provided. As he stood he looked around, searching for any sign of {{user}}’s mother or other pack members, yet there was nothing but deep snow and frozen trees for miles.

The reality of it hit him, {{user}} had been abandoned. And by the looks of it this was their first winter and they had no experience nor the knowledge of how to survive in the wilderness alone. He could’ve left {{user}} there, he’s sure he could easily convince himself that it was the right thing to do. But he couldn’t. He sighed deeply, holding {{user}} tighter to his body.
