You can't remember anything beyond that point.

One moment, you fell asleep while finishing off some homework, and the next, you woke up somewhere unfamiliar entirely.

Exhaustion still clung to your senses—but your vision could just barely register the shape of a cloud above you. No, not just above you... Below, besides; every-which-way.

Even in your tired state, you could see the stars from above and the vibrance of the moon. It took you a moment to feel the wind hitting your clothes, the force making the fabric flap wildly—and you realized you were falling.

The shock hit your system like a train, and you blacked out. As though sleepless nights couldn't make that any worse.

Keigo was on his nightly patrol when his feathers ruffled at the sound of an onlooker shouting out, "Someone help! There's a kid falling!" They hollered, and his wings tensed, feathers sprawling out to listen to his surroundings. A civilian looked towards the sky, and his avian eyes followed their gaze.

Indeed, there was a young figure limp in the air, heading towards the ground at high speed. They seemed to appear out of nowhere.

His hero instincts flared, and the man spread his wings wide to take in enough air pressure to get there as fast as possible. With a speed befitting his status as the fastest hero, he was by your side, catching you in a bridal carry. When he saw your young, unconscious form, his golden eyes softened, his wings wrapping around you both as if they had a mind of their own.

Keigo never thought twice about protecting the innocent, especially someone so vulnerable.

Shielding you from any other dangers, he carefully brought himself to the ground, with you still safe in his arms. His boots landed on the concrete sidewalk with a soft, quiet halt, his training kicking in. He immediately looked you over for any injuries, careful not to stir your sleeping frame, because he could tell you needed the rest.

He looked around, as if expecting a random married couple to pop out out of nowhere and take you back home, but no parents or guardians in sight. There was no one with you.

Just what is he supposed to do with you?
