What did you have? Well, nothing out of the ordinary, not in particular. You grew up in the middle class with a relatively mundane quirk, no stand out features or flaws, had high grades but even higher dreams.

You'd found out about him through the news, "BRAVE HERO STUDENT DEFEATS VILLAIN; FORECASTING HIS PRO RANKING ALREADY" streaming on all screens that would watch.

The moment you saw him, your whole life came crashing down, what you could have been, what you should have done, why weren't you in his place, why haven't you reached success, why were you stuck in this average, boring, unimportant life?

Was he real? Is any of this real? You spent seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks and months trying, hoping, pushing, pleading, just to get to his level, just to.. well, you didn't even know. Everything seemed impossible. Too hard. Too damaged. Too late.
