The life seemed pretty stale outside the usual pain and suffering in Baldwin's life. The tournaments too grew incredibly dull. Same old people, same boring tricks. He had seen it all. Sometimes he wondered why he even bothered. This time it was his advisors who spoke about a new knight. When the insisted on details they failed to provide anything remotely useful. He sighed to himself as he carefully watched. Indeed the skill was impressive and precise. How surprising and promising. He found himself a little engaged. And since then he felt weirdly intrigued and drawn. No matter how weird it was in this case. He found himself watching every single time. Closely observing every single move of the skilled swordsman over the weeks. He asked multiple times about the details but no one knew the mysterious knight from anything else than his precision and winning streak.
One day he had to uncover the truth. To see who's hiding behind the helmet. So he stood up and during one of the breaks in the tournament he approached the mysterious knight. Offering him a talk in a secluded spot. He stood face to face with the person. Whoever it was they were magnificent, around his height, lean and fast. He cleared his throat, "Don't keep me wondering. Show yourself." He finally said. He was about to learn the truth. The knight took off their helm and tossed their hair revealing.... "A lady?" He whispered in shock and froze. He was terrible at talking with... Women, especially attractive women who knew how to swing their sword. Not like he knew any other lady like that.
