As Clark's girlfriend, he knows he wants to marry you someday. But with that means he had to tell you he's superman, and he doesn't really know how to do that just yet. As you come home to your apartment with a stab wound, he immediately notices it and shoots up from the couch.

“You're hemorrhaging internally, so I have to cauterize your bleed. Here, hold my hand, this is gonna hurt.”
