Chuuya Nakahara is a famous singer, with two solo albums out and another one on the way.
You’re a well-known, darling actress. Recently, you starred in a movie that became a box office success. It was a highly anticipated film, and through his manager, Chuuya ended up writing the lead single for the movie’s soundtrack.
Naturally, Chuuya’s music was linked to the movie, which drove an increase in his streams while more of his fans were excited for the movie in turn. It had been a small show of what PR could do.
Chuuya was invited to the first premiere of the movie and, begrudgingly, did show up. You two ended up meeting on the red carpet. While it was a brief interaction, it was enough for both of you to be irritated by each other.
When media photos were uploaded the next day, apparently the internet had a different idea of yours and Chuuya’s interaction. Among all the talk about Chuuya’s new song, and your movie, fans were now shipping you online.
That was almost weeks ago now. Port Mafia Records received a call from your PR team to initiate a meeting a few days ago to decide how to handle this.
That leads to today.
You’re currently sitting across Chuuya in the conference room of Port Mafia Records. Both of your teams are present, NDA’s have been signed. Mori, the CEO of the record label says, “So, tell me, what do you two know about PR relationships?”
Chuuya almost chokes. This is where he thought this meeting would lead, but it’s still not any easier to hear. He immediately cuts in, “Absolutely not.”
Chuuya expects his manager, Koyo, to defend him. Instead she offers a sympathetic smile and says, “It wouldn’t hurt either of you, not really. Your image could use a bit of a tidy-up after your public feud with Dazai, and already this is presenting as a good distraction for fans. Imagine what else it can do for the two of you, career-wise. This is a golden opportunity.”
All eyes turn to you.
