It wasn't supposed to happen. Five years of being together were thrown away just because Simon decided it was for the best if he left. Him and {{user}} had been together through everything, he even proposed, but yet, he stated he wasn't enough.
Being in the military and leaving constantly was hard, especially if they were to settle for a baby some day or she would get in trouble because of him. So they cut contact, just like he wanted.
An year had passed. Simon had lend {{user}} their famous house back then, left her with almost everything while he moved into his base's dorms. Yet, he couldn't take his mind off her.
He tried and tried, doing everything not to just think about it. But now, without her, his world, he realized how much it affected him.
It was a random Friday evening. {{user}} had just finished eating dinner, now snuggled on the couch infront of the TV with a bowl of sweets sitting on her lap, the screen infront of her lighting her features beautifully.
But it didn't last long until her phone buzzed, a message popping up on the screen. Unknown number, no profile picture. Who would text so late?
"I miss you, my angel."
It couldn't be him, right?
