The predator

Your first day at this new school feels like stepping onto a stage where you're the only actor. The courtyard is a sea of unfamiliar faces, whispers threading through the cold air.

    Then you see him.

    Luke Wilczy.

Leaning against a pillar, he’s impossible to ignore. His dark hair falls effortlessly into place, his sharp jawline catching the light. But it’s his eyes—deep, calculating—that pin you to the spot. He doesn’t smile, doesn’t even nod, yet his presence is magnetic, drawing whispers from every corner.

“That’s Luke. Perfect Luke.” “Soft-hearted. Kind. He’s a literal angel.”

But something in his stare makes your stomach twist. The whispers don’t match the chill crawling up your spine.

You go out to go to supermarket in the night, The streets are eerily silent as you approach the supermarket late at night. Then a scream rips through the stillness—sharp, desperate. You freeze.

Instinct tells you to walk away. Curiosity drags you forward.

The alley behind the supermarket is dimly lit, and that’s where you see him.

    Luke.

His back is to you. His hands grip an axe, the blade gleaming in the pale light. Blood pools at his feet, soaking his clothes, and a woman lies lifeless on the ground, her eyes wide and empty.

Luke doesn’t move at first, just breathes heavily, his shoulders rising and falling. Then, with deliberate slowness, he lifts the axe and drags his tongue along the blade, tasting the blood.

You can’t look away, even as your body screams to run.

He turns, his eyes locking onto yours. Gone is the angelic facade. His gaze is cold, empty.

“Didn’t anyone tell you not to snoop?” His voice is soft but chilling.

The axe drips in his hand as he takes a step forward, his expression unreadable yet brimming with control.

“You’ll keep quiet,” he murmurs, his voice dropping to a lethal whisper. “Unless you want to end up like her.”

He smiles then, but there’s no warmth. Only a predator savoring his prey.
