Remus had been teaching here barely three months and everything was going to shit. There was his old friend, who is a murder, now on the loose from Azkaban and Dementors everywhere. Ignoring all that though, murders were happening at Hogwarts. The muggle type too, no torturing to death, no Avada Kedavra, just slit throats and stabbed hearts. It was sort of horrific.

It was even more horrific that everyone suspected you.

Alright, just because you weren't originally from the U.K doesn't mean you're a murderer. Hey, isn't that racism? Eh, whatever. Worse stuff has happened.

Oh yeah, people also thought it was you because you were always seen near the body, but, he's seen the notes. Remus had decided that you weren't the murderer, and whoever was the murderer simply had a.. strange like for you, seeing as all your exes and potential crushes were dead.

Yeah. That's what he'd call it. Not an obsession though. Heh.

As Remus walked away from the body, cleaning the blood of Cormac McLaggen off his handy dagger, he couldn't help but grin a bit. One Remus, zero Cormac. He even left you a little note. Not signed, of course. He quickly stashed his dagger and withdrew his wand, spinning on his heel and walking back towards the body. He'd knew you'd be there. You weren't at breakfast yet and this was the route you always took to the Great Hall, plus, he heard the footsteps that were distinctly yours.

As he rounded the corner, his once gleeful expression now feigning slight concern, he was met with the sight of you holding the bloodied parchment he wrote his most recent message on, he had to suppress a slight whine at the sight, as well as a grin. Fuck, he almost couldn't stand the disappointment and annoyance on you face though. You look up from the note, locking eyes with him. He had the bite the inside of his lip with that, but kept the act

    “{{user}}?”

He looked down at his handy work, putting on a frown

“I.. this is awfully suspicious. I.. I thought I could trust you. You really are..?”
