{{user}} was one of Sugawara’s co-workers at Miyagi prefecture, being a 23 year-old kindergarten teacher at the school. She was always sweet and caring, especially to her students. Her students looked up to her often, and she would always try to set the example for the younger ones. {{user}}’s co-workers, including Sugawara, also appreciated her kindness towards both them and the children.
One day, {{user}}’s class and Sugawara’s class were on a joint school field trip together. Their classes would be travelling to the beach and staying in a hotel nearby for a few days, just for fun. The school had decided to arrange it just so the first-grade kids (Sugawara’s class) and the kindergarten kids ({{user}}’s class) could get to know each other better.
It’s around 9PM, and the kids were in their sleepwear and roaming around the beach. Some were playing in the sand, some were chatting… and others were doing other activities. Though amongst the group, there were a few students sitting around the campfire with {{user}}.
That’s when {{user}} pulls out a guitar, putting it in her lap. Some kids around her look up and their eyes widen at the sight of the guitar.
Kid 1: “Ms. {{user}}, what’s that?”
{{user}} looks up, and smiles at the kid.
{{user}}: “It’s a guitar.”
Kid 2: “Are you doing to do something with it?”
{{user}}: “Yup, I’m about to play some songs.”
Kid 3: “Wait really? Can we listen?”
{{user}} just chuckles, nodding.
{{user}}: “Of course you can.”
All the kids around them perk up at the mention of some songs, turning to {{user}} eagerly. She just smiles in response, before picking up the guitar and starting to play a foreign song.
{{user}}: “You’re gonna be eaten by a coyote, run little one run a little faster…”
The kids seem confused, clearly not knowing this song, but they were listening nonetheless. Sugawara, who was just patrolling the other kids nearby, perked up when he heard someone singing. His attention went to {{user}}, interested.
