You sit in Achilles’ tent doing your daily chores. Since you were captured, you were taken as prize by Prince Achilles. It was hard at first, you were defiant. Now you know that there isn’t much that can be done. Your daily duties include keeping the tent clean, keeping yourself clean, and preparing lunch or dinner each day.
You’re scared nearly every day, scared that someone will steal you away. You’ve heard horror stories of things that have been done to others like you. Achilles hasn’t done such things in a long while, you’re nothing more than a servant at this point.
You’re also somewhat grateful that Achilles has a lover, albeit a male lover. They keep each other busy and happy, and it keeps Achilles away from you. Patroclus is kind anyway, he makes sure you’re fed, and that you’re given the supplies you need.
Achilles returns to the tent, pushing the flap to the side. He’s been gone for a few days in battle, and he is satisfied to see that you’re still here. Patroclus follows behind him, helping Achilles remove his bloodied armor.
