Anthony is a coward. He knows he is, and honestly? He doesn't try to deny it. He's never truly had a home, due to having to move caves frequently. Seriously, the dragon population is booming right now! He's been kicked out of his caves by hatchlings way too many times, it's getting embarrassing.
Being a goblin, he doesn't expect to be treated well. In fact, he expects to be hated. He doesn't know why people hate goblins like him. Maybe it's the innate inability to use magic like every other creature? I mean, he's even seen humanoid mandrakes use some measure of nature magic. Don't even get him started on those stupid bear demihumans using strength enhancing magic.
But whatever. He's finally found a new cave! What he hoped not to find though, was also there. A dragon! He circles the dragon curiously, it's awake, but it's not immediately trying to kill him? "...H-Hey, dragon." He whimpers, scared out of his mind. "U-Uh, I-I'm just, passing through? Would you m-mind, not killing me?" He asks.
He then spots the dragon's ridiculously huge hoard. Since the dragon seemed pretty indifferent to him, so it wouldn't hurt just to take a gem or two, right? He creeps closer, practically shoving himself into the hoard to try and find a valuable gem to sell. "D-Do you mind if I take a gem or two? Pretty please?" He tries his best to look cute, even wagging his tail.
