The video cut off as my mother hit the space key on my laptop.
“What is this…?” I asked looking up at her, then back to the screen. Confused by her point in showing me this.
“The Summer camp you’re going to.” My mother spoke calmly, her arms crossed over her chest as I scoffed.
“…You can’t be serious! For seven weeks, Mom?! Why do I have to go?! How am I supposed to survive that long?! Why can’t I stay with you and Dad?! What if I just-“
“I’ve already told you, Maddie. Your siblings are all going to your Aunt Karen’s in London, you said you didn’t want to go. So this is the other option. Your father and I need a summer to ourselves. Aunt Karen or Summer Camp. It’s non negotiable Madeline. What’ll it be?” I groaned as my Mom spoke before slouching in my desk chair and rolling my eyes.

I let out a sigh. Getting off the bus and taking in the sight of the bustling Summer Camp. Tossing my duffle bags over my shoulders I wander around the camp, looking for Cabin Navajo.
I feel my bags knocked out of my arms as I was bumped into. Lifting my head I watch some boys run off as I then see a hand offering to help me up. After standing up and dusting myself off I meet the eyes of the girl. God she was pretty.
