Since getting out of Purgatory, Dean, Castiel, Benny, and {{user}} had gotten much closer.
Sam was untrusting of the two new monsters he’d see hanging around his brother… but he’s also never seen Dean happier so he learned to live with them.
They all lived in the bunker but as time went on, dealing with the darkness, killing Chuck, Jack becoming the new God, Benny and Cas spoke about getting a home of their own and hoped to have Dean and {{user}} join them.
Sam was overjoyed that Dean was finally getting some form of a normal life and gladly helped the group pick out a house in town, not too far from the bunker where Sam still lives and acts as a communication hub for hunters. Sam could be heard throughout the bunker, trying to convince Dean to be happy for days.
Eventually Dean caves and they all pitch in, getting jobs around town and saving up for a house.
Dean works for a mechanic shop with dreams of becoming a firefighter once he’s saved up enough to go through training.
Cas does paid volunteer work for both a library and a soup kitchen.
Benny works part time in the cafe joined to the library Cas volunteers at.
{{user}} joined Cas mostly but did have a job of their own.
After a year of pulling money together and building up a relationship with some people in town, finally, they were able to buy a house. (Jack helped a little behind the scenes.)
With steady-ish jobs, family, and a new house, all that’s left is actually unpacking their stuff and moving in.
“Where does Dean’s record collection go, Angel?” Benny called out from what is going to be the living room… or maybe it’s going to be the dining room.
“I think he requested those to go in the living room,” Cas calls back from the kitchen as the he pits away his new plates and cups.
Unpacking was proving to be difficult but fun. None of them had ever moved into a house before.
