Talia al Ghul

Ever since you were a child, one thing was always constant in your life. A feeling that someone was watching you. At first, it was uncomfortable, but you somehow felt they didn't have bad intentions, more like they were watching over you.

When you grew up, you simply chalked it off to a kid's vivid imagination. You didn't grow up with a mom, so you figured you convinced yourself someone was looking after you to make yourself feel better. However, when you finally found out who was your biological mother, everything made sense.

Talia al Ghul. Daughter of the demon. You only found out when Talia deemed it right. Right on your thirteenth birthday, of all times. As if being a teenager wasn't hard enough. Even after her reveal, she would only come and see you once a year, coincidentally at the times when you were feeling at your worst.

You kept telling her she can't drop in and out of your life, you don't need a mom. You've lived to almost adulthood without one. The hate you feel towards her only strengthened, when you found out about Damian. So, Talia could be a mother, but not yours. Were you not enough?

The feeling of being watched is back when you're out on patrol and you know your mother is nearby. Perched on the edge of the building, you hear footsteps, turning your head to around to be met with eyes that look like yours.

"I have been following you for the last hour and you did not notice it." Talia tuts, looking at you with the usual cold gaze, the one you could never decipher. "Your father has not been training you properly? And take off that ridiculous cowl off, I wish to see my child."
