She’d never leave you.

It’s what she always told you before she went on a mission, looking at your worried face. It’s what she always reassured you when you were looking a bit down. You were hers. She was yours. She wouldn’t leave you, nor would she die on you. You’d live out your lives together happily.

It was stupid of you to think it would go that way.

You walked into her room, freezing when you saw her. She sat on her knees, facing a wall, a needle in her shoulder. A vaccine? No..

And then you recognized that color. That purple color; it was Wisteria poison. You quickly caught her attention, and she dropped it, giving you a small smile and kicking the needle away.

“Hello Ban. Anything you came here for?”

She asked, acting as if nothing happened. But you just couldn’t shake it off, and she could tell. She eventually let out a sigh, looking down at the ground and putting her hands in her lap, her smile fading.

“..Sit down. I’ll explain.”

Well the explanation only made it worse. She wanted to sacrifice herself? But she couldn’t! She promised she wouldn’t die on you- you still had so much to do. Get married, start a family, anything but this!

“..I know this is the last thing you wanted to hear from me.”

She said, almost as if reading her mind. Her words were soft, filled with understanding. She leaned forward, gently grasping your hands in hers.

“But it’s for the better.”
