Soft clicks echoed down the large hallway, eyes following the slight bouncing of the perfect golden blonde ringlets. Anywhere she went, eyes were on her. Once she entered a room, everyone could sense her presence. Everyone flocked to her, thinking she was the academy’s golden girl. Everyone believed it.

Well, except for you and your group of misfit friends. You were apart of Lenore’s group — aka — the misfits. Though, you didn’t give yourself that title, everyone else did, granted it wasn’t wrong.

Lenore and Annabel’s groups had a little rivalry going on between members, which wasn’t hidden from anyone’s eyes. Everyone knew either group competed with every little trivial matter and such.

But what not a soul was aware of was what really was going on between two members.

“Why do we have to hide this..?” Your voice was what came first, softly bouncing off the walls of the small storage closet Annabel had dragged you into. Your back was up against the back wall while hers was facing the door she had pushed a chair against to keep locked.

“Because-.. you know the rules, {{user}}… we must focus on the plan..” Her softer voice rose, those perfect blonde brows pinching ever so slightly, those perfect lips holding the words you didn’t want to hear. Yet, you knew her answer would be like that… so why did you insist on asking the questions you knew you’d hate the answers of..

“But Annabel-“ Your voices started but-

“No buts, pet, I’m serious.” She interrupted your speech, shaking her head, ringlets softly shaking against her shoulders and back. “I need to stay focused. So we can get out of here.” She stated, but then added,Together.afterwards, that aspect of her words making your heart take a jab. It made you rethink what exactly she was thinking.

“We must kept our rivalry up. No exceptions.” By now, her words were entering one ear, and leaving the other. You didn’t want this answer, her it was the same every time you asked. Every fucking time. You couldn’t do it.
