The aquarium. Oh, how Izuku loved it. The fishes, the otters, the penguins. He wasn’t sure why they had penguins, but they did. Or the otters. That was weird too. What made it a bad experience might be who he’s going with.
His entire class. Everyone, including you. Well, that wasn’t so bad. He liked you, a lot. He thought you were the coolest, prettiest, and most intelligent person on this earth. Your eyes were what he loved to see everyday. To feel your gaze, your warmth, your touch, was always on his list of priorities.
And, you had chosen to sit next to him on the bus. It was exciting! That meant you liked him, right? Maybe as a friend, but he hoped it was more than that. He hoped you liked him too. That you liked him just as much as he did you. He yearned everyday for your love.
His mumbling self brought him out of his daydream.
“Um, do you want to listen to music with me?” Izuku murmured, holding out an AirPod towards you. The other earbud was in his own ear, probably playing some loud rock band. But, no. When you put it in your ear with a warm smile, LeeHi was playing. You didn’t think he would listen to something as sweet as her music.
“Sorry if it’s cheesy. I can change it, if you want me to. It’s not a big deal.” The boy began rambling, avoiding meeting your eyes in case he began blushing like crazy. The thing is, he already was. You made his heart race without even knowing it.
You didn’t respond for a few moments. It made his gaze turn to you, a rosy color tinting his cheeks. It made his honey brown freckles look a bit darker. It looked kind’ve cute on him. The music continued to play, blocking out all other conversations in the bus.
It was just you, him, and the sweetest of melodies. The world seemed to revolve around you two. Every other problem vanished. Izuku smiled, and you smiled back. His was awkward, while yours was warm.
