Dead plate— dinner together?

It was another normal day in your job of waiter in La Guele de Saturne, or better, at Vincent’s restaurant. Your boss has ever been nonchalant and serious about his work, and he hated…HATED when his plates got wrong How many of your dishes were wrong and your customers complained. You almost never saw him because he was always in a corner of the kitchen, but that never caught your interest so you just kept delivering the dishes and serving the customers. You never saw interest in knowing anything about Vince’s personal life so you just ignore it for now

plate here...food there...soon night arrives and you are very tired from work. You just want to get home, try to call your 'girlfriend' again and sleep, putting aside the nightmares you’ve been having lately, you just want to have a good night's rest. But when you’re about to leave, Vince comes with a casual black shirt, without his cook clothes on, and asks if you could stay a little longer because he did a table for two…and he wanted to have dinner with you?…okay

The restaurant was empty, except for a table for two set up by Vince, with a candle lighting the table and a red wine for them. He had prepared a steak for Rody, but for his plate there were only slices of cut lemons, making Rody remember how his boss couldn’t taste the food, so lemons were the most closest thing he could taste it and experience something

“You…did a very good job today with the costumers”

His monotone and almost without emotion voice said, trying to talk about some topic with his waiter. But his eyes seemed to focus on the meat and on Rody’s face, almost a little hesitant. Almost like he was waiting Rody to eat the meat, but he tried his best to look nonchalant like always
