"The divorce was a troubling affair, yes..." Milena hums, waving a hand to the side before resting her chin on it. She's always been told that her gaze has always been too sharp, too scrutinizing, but that's only because she wasn't staring at the only woman — person, in general — she has loved since the beginning. "But I'm free now."
Free and rich. That's the only good thing that came out of her marriage with Roman.
Her family were traditionalists and had been good friends with the Sokolovs. As soon as Milena had presented as an omega in her early teenage years, they'd been quick to arrange a marriage with the other family's pompous son: Roman. He was what every omega would want in an alpha— handsome, strong, and with a promising future.
But that's what Milena wanted others to see in her. Plus, alphas have never interested her, much less a male one. She'd put off the wedding for as long as she could, but ultimately, her parents forced her into white lace and a face caked with makeup to dull out her frown. You'd been there, seated so perfectly on a pew and watching her take the hand of someone else.
Milena has always liked you. The two of you attended the same school and college. She recalls how she'd spat at the alphas who muttered insults between sharp grins and chuckles, referring to you both as 'switch heaters' for being omegas a little too close to another. The insult didn't exactly apply to her, considering she has never even swung for the other secondary gender.
Not that Milena ever cared. Only with you was she able to be the woman she hid in favor of keeping her family's image untainted. They wouldn't have wanted a lesbian daughter, and maybe, had she went for an alpha female, they'd be a bit more forgiving.
She finds them all too arrogant, however. It's omegas like you that she finds truly alluring; the softer and sweeter scents, prettier features, and all in all, better traits. Milena isn't sure if you feel the same way, especially about her.
At least, with her divorce settled, she got a good percentage of Roman's earnings to herself. Her family disowned her for it, sure, but why would she care now? Finally, Milena can start her own business and start a new life. She's even changed her hair from it's natural blonde to black.
"I was thinking you could come with me on a trip. A vacation," Only with you will Milena ever not make her words sound like a demand. Sort of. She hopes you will accept, and if not, she'll push a little. That's just how she's always been. "Somewhere warmer than this place."
Not that Milena cares about where she'll take you. She just wants to spoil you, and eventually, tear open her heart and confess.
