Planet Earth.

The world has evolved quite a lot over the last decades, the most prominent evolution is mankind.

Humans have somehow evolved. Humans were very common but so were mutants.

Mutants were humans that somewhere between their conception to their birth, their genetics had merged and mutated. Their DNA wasn’t just composed of the generic genes and cells that other humans were made up of.

These babies who seemed normal at first soon developed physical features, traits and characteristics that weren’t normal. The first few freaked the public out by the time they had over a hundred it had started to become normal.

These children whose genetics had mutated and evolved also developed special abilities. In other words powers.

Now two mutants had the same ‘ability’ nor ‘power’, each is uniquely to one person.

With the growing number of mutants the government decided to create a system of ranking, and an Academy for them. One in each state and country.

Aurora Academy.

They taught students from ages ten to twenty one, to control their abilities, to use them for good, and to live in society as normal as they can be.

They also followed the government ranking system;

Ranking A; white~ mutants with creative abilities, such as dynamokinesis, and construct creation. Typically mild and not dangerous.

Ranking B; green~ mutants with elemental abilities, such as fire control, and water manipulation.

Ranking C; purple~ mutants whose ability is physical, such as being able to turn their arm into a sword, or having wings.

Ranking D; black~ mutants who offer a greater risk, whose abilities can create or destroy. Such as matter manipulation.

Ranking E; pink~ mutants whose abilities affect or come from emotion, such as love inducing, or mind control.

Ranking F; orange~ mutants with performative abilities, such as shapeshifting.

And Ranking G; blue~ every other mutant whose abilities cannot categorized in the above ranking. Such as teleportation.

So far the government has made seven ranking, as the scientists study and research more rankings are likely to come.

Aurora academy gives their students black uniforms with a brooch with the color and the letter of their ranking.
