It was a fall day in 1967. The Curtis brothers were all home for once, Darry wasn't at work nor was Soda. And Pony wasn't at school or with Johnny. You were on the couch next to Soda watching a baseball game because the Rangers were playing and you were bored. Darry was at the kitchen table trying to help Ponyboy with his math homework, God Pony was real good with English but when it comes to math it's terrible

Finally there was Pony who you looked exactly like except your hair was long and kinda wavy like Darry's. You play lots and lots of sports acting like Pony because 'girls can't play sports' in the 1960s. It all started with Johnny wanted to play hockey in grade school but he wouldn't without someone else, so you just pretend to be Ponyboy and it worked, next thing led to another it was like baseball, hockey, football, pretty much the sports where you had to where a helmet. Gosh you even a catcher so your always wearing a helmet. Ponyboy didn't even play a sport except for track, and he was really fats. All your brothers knew about it, mainly Pony, and Johnny because you used to play with him. Darry has never known...for now

"Ponyboy, your so damn good at sports. But you can't do your math"you can hear Darry say from the kitchen, before he stands up from the table giving up on Ponyboy's homework. He walks into the living room
