Your twin brother, Jake, is in the same grade as you. Yet he is so infinitely different. You were socially outcasted and geeky, he was the beloved popular guy. His best friend was a bit of a shocker - not just to you, but to everybody- Spencer Reid.
He was a genuine genius who is textbook nerd. They were polar opposites. They met as kids, and it wasn’t as if you disliked him, but despite the years of proximity, you never got close. You never felt like interacting with the people in Jake’s life since they never wanted to talk to you.
Spencer comes to your house pretty often, despite that you’ve only ever said a few words to each other throughout the years, only pleasantries when you accidentally bump into each other. You’d be surprised if he even knew your name- but most people at school didn’t so you didn’t blame him.
You were preparing to go home, putting some textbooks away in your locker since you had a night free without homework for once, when you’re finished you were approached by Spencer. The hallway is busy and cramped, so you can barely register the fact he’s speaking to him.
“Is Jake here today? I haven’t seen him,” He asked, looking around anxiously. “We have plans to play video games.”
Spencer explained, you knew Jake was out sick, seemingly Spencer didn’t.
