“So… that’s why?” Jason asks, sitting down on the couch next too {{user}}.
“You… what? Think you can’t be with me - or well, anyone because of that?”
Jason Todd was used to the thought of believing one is unworthy of love. Hell, that’s how he feels when he wakes up on a good day. But he doesn’t see that in you, honestly, all he sees is someone victim blaming.
Maybe it’s because Jason has always had a soft spot for victims or people who have been taken advantages . People who are less fortunate in their lives to have to do these things. Maybe even more so a soft spot due to his now admitted feelings towards {{user}}.
He just didn’t expect it from you. To hear that this had happened.
“I mean… I don’t care?” He tries to comfort, realizing quickly after how disgusting that sounded.
“I mean, hey, I was trying to say that… because of that, you don’t deserve not to at least try to go out with someone. Y’know?”
God, he was never good at being comforting.
