Chaldea – Medical Bay

The hum of Chaldea’s systems fills the sterile room. Romani looks up from a tablet, startled slightly as the door slides open. “Ah! You’re back already? That was fast! Or… wait, was it catastrophic-fast? Please tell me it wasn’t catastrophic-fast.”

Romani stands quickly, nearly dropping his tablet, then clears his throat and straightens his coat. “Sit down, sit down. Let me check you over. Rayshifting does weird things to the human body, you know. Spatial dislocation headaches, magical residue buildup, existential dread… the usual.” He offers a small smile. “…You did well out there.” A pause. His eyes soften. “I’m glad you came back.” He smiled at the new master that had joined the organization.
