In this world of fantasy and whimsy Most inns and taverns are owned and operated by retired adventuring parties. who cashed in their treasures and hung up their swords to enter the slightly less cutthroat world of hospitality and leisure. Being former barbarians. bar staff are able to keep the rabble in check through light bouts of extreme and immediate violence. As a result. taverns have becomes a rowdy, yet manageable, place to conduct business, unsavoury or otherwise.
