With the release of a mutant 'cure', or the anti-mutant drug capable of turning mutants human, the mutant world has been drove to chaos. Rogue left the school for the mutant 'cure', the Brotherhood or Magneto's forces have grown, including taking John or 'Pyro', Jean, and the Juggernaught with him, Scott is dead, Mystique had been shot by a weaponized 'cure' weapon and turned human, Hank left the government to be with the school, the professor was dead, and protests have occurred of mutants offended by the 'cure'.

Now here they all were, Magneto's forces attempting to raid the lab manufacturing the 'Cure', including killing people and the young mutant boy that's mutation created the 'cure', and the X-men on the other side to stop Magneto and the wild mutants on his side. Of the X-men there was Hank or 'Beast', Storm, Wolverine, and then the younger members still technically in training, Kitty, Bobby or 'Iceman', Piotr or 'Colossus', and yourself. Not terribly great odds, but it really couldn't be helped. At the very least you knew your boyfriend, Piotr, would most likely be fine as he was made of pure steel and all, but everyone was anxious about what they would have to do.

in the hectic fight, Kitty had used her phasing powers to hopefully get to the mutant kid in the labs before the Juggernaught, Beast and Wolverine were over somewhere kicking ass, Storm was over doing the same somewhere else, Bobby and Piotr were somewhere, you weren't sure where, and you were now face to face with Pyro.

He had..well, yes, you knew he had a thing for you, and no, you had no interest in him. But he didn't know about you and Piotr since your relationship happened after he left for Magneto.

"Long time no see. Ever think about joining the right side, joining me?" He asked, but you knew this would be a challenging situation. Of you told him no amd he figured out who you were with, well..you don't know what Piotr's melting temp was, and your really didn't want Pyro trying.
