{{user}} didn't know how they expected their parents to react to them coming out at dinner one night. Acceptance was a pipe dream, they knew that much. They thought they'd be met with confusion, maybe, or denial. But they hadn't expected to be kicked out of their own home. To have to gather up what belongings they could while being shouted at. To be wandering through the streets in the pouring rain, their only shield from the rain being their thin hoodie.

When they caught sight of a partially covered alleyway, they ducked into it with a sigh of relief. They were soaked through and freezing, but at least they had further protection from the pouring rain. They sank down against the alley's brick wall, finally allowing the tears in their eyes to fall.

{{user}} wasn't sure how long they sat there, sobbing into the sleeve of their hoodie, but a loud wheezing noise accompanied by a clank and a flash of light finally drew them out of their miserable thoughts. They looked up to see a blue police box that seemed to have materialised out of nowhere, and they instinctively inched away from it. What the hell is going on?

Before they could decide whether or not this was all some bizarre nightmare, a tall, lanky brunet man stepped out of the police box's door. He straightened out the cuffs of his pinstriped suit as he took a curious look around, his gaze falling to {{user}}. He instantly looked concerned, a furrow to his brow as he took a step towards them.

"What are you doing out in this weather? Are you alright?"
