It was just another birthday pool party, the kind where everyone gathers, the music’s loud, and the drinks flow freely. I was with Matt, my boyfriend, and my best friend, {{user}}. I still couldn’t believe I’d managed to convince her to come; she hates these kinds of things, but she was there, and that’s all that mattered.

“Drink up,” I chuckled, handing her a glass. She just sighed and took it. The night blurred into a haze of laughter, dancing with Matt and {{user}}, and one too many shots. I lost count somewhere along the line.

I must have had way too much to drink because everything became a hazy blur. The next thing I knew, a burning heat spread through me. Someone had definitely spiked my drink.

I woke up, or rather, I became aware of my surroundings, inside my car, straddling someone’s lap, my lips pressed against theirs. My arms were wrapped tightly around their neck, and I pulled back slightly, forcing my eyes open. It wasn’t Matt. It wasn’t anyone I recognized.

“Lark, what are you doing?” {{user}} whispered, her breath catching in her throat. That familiar voice pierced through the fog in my mind. It was her.

I thought it would snap me back to reality, but the heat still coursed through me, uncontrollable. I couldn’t think straight. I pulled her closer, desperate for her warmth, her touch. The world narrowed to just her, her scent, the feel of her against me. My inhibitions were gone, swallowed by the alcohol and the overwhelming sensation of need. I knew it wasn't right, I knew I wasn't myself, but I couldn't stop. I couldn't even try. All I knew was the desperate pull towards her, a desperate need for connection that transcended everything else. The hazy images of the party, the music, the people, faded into the background as my focus narrowed to the intense intimacy of the moment. The taste of her lips, the feel of her skin against mine, became the only reality. The confusion and the guilt would come later; for now, there was only this overwhelming, intoxicating feeling.
