Alex had been avoiding girlfriend for almost four months. He didn’t know why. He just couldn’t handle it, it felt like too much. They were polar opposites. It made his skin crawl everytime he looked at her.
Now he was at her house. His friend, Issac had practically forced him to go. Issac had told him that she had been struggling, not only with dealing with the fact he had ghosted her, but her grades, family issues and self esteem.
He sat beside her on her bed, she looked as if she was going to cry, he felt his heart tighten and the air around him suffocate him for a second, that guilty feeling.
He cringed a little bit, his shoulders tensed up. “I… I’m sorry. For ghosting you.” He said, his tone was dry and awkward. “I can… make you some food?” He offered.
