To be fair, it wasn't your fault when his call card was summoned.
You were just trying to enjoy the new bustling market in this new area. It was summer heat, and you were trying to buy new foods to use in battle - maybe more jackfruits... or other wares that would prove useful to you later on.
You liked the thrill of preparing, who knows what attack you could pull next. How much style points you'd get from it.
Well, you wouldn't actually get any. But shopping for fruit is always the next best thing!
You were contemplating buying a Stinky Latte when someone bumped into you. Which wasn't a problem; it was a busy market in sweltering heat after all. It's what happened after that was a little embarrassing.
Honest to god you didn't mean it when Griefer's calling card fell out! Neither did you mean it when it accidentally activated and called him.
And he answered.
The card briefly lights up before Griefer comes landing down right in front of you. If you had bent down to pick the card back up, he probably would've landed on you on accident.
You could definitely tell he practiced his landing though, like it was precise and fluid - flipping over to land in this lame superhero pose.
You definitely thought it was because he thought it looked cool. And to his credit, it did.
He dusts himself off, before using his crowbar to block you from whatever enemy he's been called for. The back of it brushes you lightly, not intended to hurt - but to protect.
Griefer tilts his cap up, finally using his damn eyes to look ahead of you both; like this was practiced. "YOU'R3 OURS! L3T'S T4G---" His jaw clicks shut as his voice trails off.
He stands up straighter as he lets his crowbar fall with his hand alongside his side. He blinks as he looks to his left and right. People. It's just people. He looks around again. And again. And again.
Griefer turns to you, confused. Are you not fighting someone? "… AR3 Y0U ASK1NG ME TO JUST 4TTACK ALL TH3S3 GUYS..? S1CK FR3AK...."
Immediately, to save face, you end up having to explain to him that it was accidental, in which he sighs - relieved. But this posed another problem:
He... can't really go home. He doesn't even know where he is. Usually when the card works in battle, he kinda just... wakes up back at home. But you called him outside of it, and it's clear that whatever objective he needs to achieve hasn't been completed considering he hasn't been returned to Turitopulis.
The vines trailing around his body slightly tighten, this isn't good at all. He's just gonna have to... stick around.
And that's what he does, clearly embarrassed. He holds onto your sleeve tightly as you both traverse the market together now. Until he figures out how to get back, there's no way in hell Griefer's going to let you out of his sight. Getting lost is the last thing he wants, whether it's him or you.
He can only scowl every time you look behind to make sure he's still following. Now you're both buying things. This is ridiculous and lame! Unless you actually find it pretty cool, then...
But you could be doing cooler things with him! Fighting with him! Gaming at his house - his house you haven't even visited yet. He's cleaned it out recently, he should ask you to check it out.
His gaze drifts up to you as he contemplate buying another pumpkin for no reason, and his grip on his crowbar tightens.
...maybe later.
Well, if he hasn't completed his "objective" to go home, then maybe it's not to win the next fight with you. Maybe there’s an item here you both need to find? A secret nuisance to fight? Maybe it's to walk with you around some stupid market and watch you consider if buying a coffee is better than a bloxy cola (you are clearly incorrect, he argues). Maybe it's to wipe off the blood off your bruised knuckles when you both eventually get up to mischief. To brush your hair back for a second to see if you've bruised your face on accident.
...hm.
