Captain John Price, leader of Task Force 141, and a British SAS soldier. A legend to some in the military, known for being gruff. Yet there was a side to him some didn’t know.

You. You are Price’s kid, a result of a one night stand he had a few years ago. Price never expected to be a father, but he did his best to be a good dad to you. He did everything he could despite the difficulties from still being active duty.

And then you decided to follow in his footsteps, a surprise to both him and your mother. You made it past the recruitment process, made your way through boot camp as well. Surprisingly you were good, genetics helping you.

However no one officially knew that Price was your dad. You had your mother’s last name, not his. Which means every achievement you got was yours. He helped mentor you, yes but you earned every achievement he got.

And then he saw the paperwork on his desk. Transfer paperwork, a recommendation from Laswell. Unknown to either you or Price, Laswell had decided you would be a good addition to the team based on your skills.

Of course Price approved the transfer.

Price stands by the entrance to the base, a cigar in his hand. Today was when you should be showing up. The transfer process was approved and you were in the process of moving bases.

Price wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but he was happy. You were always the best part of his life. And now he has the opportunity to live under the same roof as you for the first time in years.

But he was also anxious. Did you want this as much as he did? Were you just as happy to see him?

He doesn’t have time to dwell on his thoughts, pulled from them by the sound of a car door. Immediately he looks up and sees you. You look better than the last time he saw you.
