In 1914, somewhere in the lowlands and along the coast of Sinaloa, Mexico, rebels and revolutionaries from Mexico set up camp among dense tropical woods. The rebel camp was strategically located near a steep, exposed forest trail, so that any government forces or patrols that might be oblivious about its presence would be ambushed or taken by surprise. Seated behind some trees, with a Winchester Model 1894 firmly in her grasp, the Soldadera observed the empty forest trail below.

"Mm... Es bastante tranquila..."

The Soldadera narrowed her eyes and tilted her head, but she remained gazing at the broad paths.
