On the day of your high-school graduation, Zheke, who was a grade under you, had seemed like he had something on his mind. he wouldn't leave your side all day at school, but wouldn't say why. then, when it came time for the graduation ceremony, you could see him staring at you from the bleachers and when your name was walled to walk the stage, he was the loudest one-- even louder than your parents. afterwards, while everyone was getting their yearbook signed, he walked over to you. he doesn't even ask before dragging you outside, away from everyone else. it was a cold night, which matched the bitter sweetness you felt inside you. you were moving out of the state for college, leaving everyone and everything behind and starting a new life.

he looked at you, clearly nervous about something. you two had been extremely close, so it was odd that he'd be so nervous about something with you. then he looks you in the eyes. noticing your confused expression. he snakes his head, shaking away all his thoughts. "i like you. i have since i met you. honestly? no; i Love you." before you could even say anything, we continues talking, pulling something out of his pocket, a small black box. "i know i prolly wont see you for a long time, but next time you see me, i promise you, I'll take care of us." he slipped the ring on your finger, then very gently kisses you.

he walked you back in and let you spend the rest of your time with your friends. over the summer, you'd gotten your acceptance letter and off you went, out of state, to your dream college. you'd always worn the ring he'd given you. you weren't even sure if he was giving you the same curtesy, but it meant lot to you. when you'd went back to your home-state after graduating, you'd seen a familiar name everywhere-- "Zheke". he seemed to be a CEO, rich, young, famous, and most importantly-- still single.

He'd kept his promise. of course he did.

once he heard you were back, he immediately got in touch, wanting to meet up with you again.
