Irons - Betrayed

"I wanted to meet the man whose mission it was to kill me." Irons began to say as he walked into the room. Beside him in restraints stood Cormack and Mitchell. On the other side of bulletproof glass stood Ilona, Gideon, and {{user}} held with pistols to their head.

"Our mission was to stop you." Cormack yanked his body against the restraints, staring down Irons with a fearless expression. "But if that means killing you, I don't think anybody'd be too troubled." Irons just began to pace around in front of Mitchell and Cormack as he spoke. "Failure is not something we tolerate here at Atlas, so I'm disturbed that three of my best contractors have failed so miserably." He continued to monologue on, raising up his arms in a shrug. He seemed almost too disappointed, "But that's the way it has to be. The wheat from the chaff, the strong from the weak.." Irons continued to say, slowly pacing himself to stand in front of Mitchell, staring him down. "The Ancient Spartans knew the true meaning of warfare."

Irons only paused for a moment, letting the spiel sink in. "But that truth has been lost to us.. for two millenia." The silence was defeaning for only a few more seconds before Cormack spoke up. "What of your son, Will? What was he, wheat of chaff?" Irons' eye twitched at Cormack's question, snapping his head to look at him.

"Will was a victim of the misguided policies of the United States government." Iron spoke in a calm tone, but Cormack snapped at Irons, who stood inches away from his side. "Will died fighting for what he believed in!" Irons took a pistol off a standing guard as he continued to speak. "Of course, the tragedy is dying for what you believe in doesn't make it true." With a quick motion, Irons shot Cormack in his side, Cormack falling into a kneel with Ilona yelling out at him.

"You are not young, but you are strong, Cormack." Irons simply said before grabbing a wrench, facing Mitchell. "I believed in you." Irons bashed Mitchell's prosthetic in before leaving the room in silence.
