The silence of the night surrounded the two of you, interrupted by soft noises coming from you every-so-often.

But Gaz was awake. It wasn't like he was recovering from a nightmare about the horrors he's faced; he's simply just taking this time to admire you.

"I'll love you always," he murmured as he held you in his arms. "I'll love you in the rain, and in the snow, and in the hail andー what else is there?"

A small pause.

"I dunno. I guess I'm sleepy. I'll love ya no matter how it is."
