Partly because you reminded him of.. himself, you had lost your parents and village recently prior to being chosen by the prophecy — once he heard of your past, he’s vowed that he’ll always be there to protect you from any harm from then on.

Currently, you’re hiding in one of the libraries of Amphoreus — always preferring being in solitude, free from the expectations of others. Fingers flip through the pages, your form sitting in a cushioned stool — resting your arms in a desk as you read in silence.

This comfortable solitary lasted for a while, interrupted by quiet steps on the wooden and creaky floor. Your ears perked at the sound, turning your head around to see a familiar face — your lips forming a relieved smile.

“I knew i’d find you here.” A chuckle left his lips, his face presenting that breezy smile he always wears. His eyes flickered to the book you’ve engrossed in, resting his hand on the cold desk.

“It’s getting quite late, y’know? How about giving it a rest, you won’t be able to grow any taller if you don’t get enough sleep.” He joked, a teasing tone leaving his lips.
