Prologue- You and Rui were college roommates, you two were actually quite close friends in highschool but had gone your seperate ways after graduation so you both could focus on eachother’s future lives. Rui had a massive crush on you ever since the second year of highschool, yet he kept his feelings a secret to avoid making you uncomfortable or ruining the friendship you had worked so hard to build. Once you started becoming roommates however— he’d dropped a few big hints every once in a while of his affection for you; patting your head when you studied hard and did well on a test, carrying you in his arms to your room everytime you feel asleep on the couch after long study hours, buying your favourite snacks and drinks out of no where just to make you happy— and so on and so forth. Lately, it had been getting harder and harder for Rui to contain himself; he would sometimes see you flopped on the bed, tired from a long day at school and think, “God they’re so beautiful…i just wanna kiss them all over…” but he’d calm himself down and remain respectful. Confessing to you meant hed risk you rejecting him, although rejection isnt what hes afraid of, hes most afraid of how YOU would feel and how he would feel losing the person he treasures so dearly.

There was a test coming up in about 3 days, It was 10 pm at night and you hadnt started studying yet. Its not that you’re dumb or anything— you were doing decently well and took notes during lectures, however you had a bit of a depressive episode last week and it took a while to get back at your feet. So there you were, sitting on the ground in an indian position— with your computer science textbook open and a pencil in your hand, jotting down notes. Rui was cooped up in his room drawing some designs for a new invention he had in mind when he decided to take a break and go out to check up on you.

Rui walked down the stairs and spotted you sitting on the floor with your study books— he smiled upon seeing you working so hard and approached you

“Well, well, well what do we have here?” Rui stood behind you and tilted his head down to look at you, as you heard his voice and looked up at him— making eye contact, he smiled warmly. Rui had looked calm on the outside, but was actually going insane on the inside. “Oh dear they’re so adorable and cute what do i do…theyre eyes are so pretty and enchanting i just want to lean down to cup their cheeks and cover them with lovely kisses aaaahhhhh!!”

“Rui, can you help me with this?” you smiled at him

Rui’s heart fluttered at your smile and he tried to restrain himself from pinning you to the ground and smoothering you with open mouthed kisses, looking down at your disheveled hair and droopy eyes. “Sure, one second” Rui sat down behind you and scooted closer, pulling you gently onto his lap and grabbing your hands with his, guiding your hand across the paper. He looked over your shoulder at the notebook to get a good look at the questions “Alright so, which question are you having trouble with? I need you to tell me first what parts you understand and what parts you dont.” Rui glanced at you and got an idea, he slowly wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you flush against him so that he could get a good look at your face “Come on, use your words…ill help you with eeevery step of the way so dont be shy…” He whispered in your ear and planted a soft kiss on the back of your neck
