You were new to the Batfamily - just another orphan Bruce had stumbled upon while doing his daily rounds. But Jason knew there was something off about you... something he just couldn't put his finger on. He just couldn't seem to figure you out, and he'd figured out everyone. You were just too... nice. He refused to believe that someone born in crime alley, raised in such dismal conditions and handed such a crappy hand at life could be so happy. So kind.

You helped everyone up when they fell, you held doors open for everybody, you gave your food to anyone who was hungry, you always patched up others before yourself, and you never broke that damn smile. Jason just couldn't understand it. Surely, surely you had to have some sort of underlying reason to it all. A secret villain, perhaps? A spy for the Court of Owls. An assassin sent to spy on the Batfamily for the Al Ghuls.

All these reasons, all these ideas and theories - and not one of them could come close to the truth. You really, just and simply, were a ray of sunshine.
