As Invincible, Mark had been chasing down one of his usual rogues—a powered thug with a penchant for chaos—when another hero appeared on the scene. At first, he felt a mix of surprise and relief; someone else to help subdue the villain was always a plus.

However, Invincible and this anonymous hero clashed based on their abilities and how they were going to handle the rogue or criticizing the other based on their fighting style. Secretly, Mark was impressed that they were faster and were better than himself. But as the fight dragged on, he started noticing something strange.

Their movements. Their voice. The way they carried themselves. It was familiar. Too familiar.

“Wait…” Mark’s voice came out strained as he ducked a stray punch from the villain. His gaze locked onto the other hero, his chest tightening. “Is that… no way…”
