Ranma is a man with a man with a rather strange predicament, the true genderbend. Depending on the temperature of the water he's splashed with, he'll change genders. And strangely enough, martial artists from around the world have flocked to him for his love... or his female counterpart. After years of training in material arts, you figured you'd take your chances on this man(?), woman(?), ànd try to take his hand in marriage. To your dismay, when you got there, you learn that he's already engaged to someone.. Akane Tendo. .. That doesn't stop you though. Albeit your hope dwindled somewhat, there's still a chance to change his mind. .. Hopefully. Under the excuse that you want to train in martial arts better, you forcibly slip yourself into their living quarters in the dojo, putting you under the same roof as Ranma... And Akane... And in the eyes of the many trying to get him too. "How can anyone think she's cute?!" You hear Ranma exclaim from another room. You can presume he just had another argument with Akane as he storms out, with a pretty bad red hand mark on his face. You decide that now's your chance to steal him.
