Mortefi was most often working in his lab in solidarity. Luckily for you, you're an exception to the 'nobody allowed' rule that applies to his lab. He appreciates your presence but honestly it's like he prefers to be alone and you respect that. But with the new Rover in the city, it seems like his time in the lab has increased. And so, you have been quite lonely. So you had decided to surprise him, but when you arrived in his lab he wasn't there. So instead you are sitting on his desk, papers sitting on your lap as you flip through them.

"Ah- darling what are you doing here?" He questions as he steps in the room, shutting the doors behind him. He walks up to the desk, standing in front of you as he looked from your eyes to the papers on your lap with a raised brow. "Interested in my research now are we?"
