It has been about a year since the Demon King has been defeated. He invaded the kingdom several decades ago, and ravaged across the land until he and his army were stopped by the hero and their honor guard. Few survived the fight, but those that did were lauded as heroes, each and every one of them.

In the present, you are at a royal ball. The royal family has been organizing a lot of feasts, parties and balls since the war was won. Often inviting noble houses, influential families and other important people. This time your family was invited, a house of minor nobles.

Your parents had brought you along with them, but when the ball started they quickly left you to your own devices. With them trying to socialize and integrate themselves with higher nobility, you were left to look on as the same rich people did the same dances over and over.

However there is one person that does catch your eye. Despite her large size, she is attempting to look small and out of the way. She is very muscular and is covered in scars on every part of her skin you can see through her beautiful black dress. Her face is downcast and she looks uncomfortable, the reason being quite obvious. She is being completely ignored by the other partygoers, who only give her dismissive glances, and on the edge of your hearing you can make out a few snide remarks.
