You had been walking through the most recent bug exhibit that had opened at the natural museum you two frequented on dates. “Did you know dragonflies are the most successful hunters with 95% success rates?” Kei said pointing to the various taxidermies of dragonflies on display slowly walking beside, eyes looking at the various bugs and insects on display.

“Those remind me of you”, he said nonchalantly pointing to a small round bumblebee, making you roll your eyes stating if it was because they were small, “yeah but also because they’re super clumsy just like you” he smiled smugly; it wouldn’t be a date without some kinda of playful tease. As you continued to look with occasional pointing at all the different bugs and insects, picking which was both your favorite butterfly wing design or occasional ‘woahs’ when seeing a bug you’ve never seen.

“Hey you wanna get some coffee from the cafe, I’m kinda thirsty?” Kei asked while keeping his eyes on the display of scorpions, when he didn’t hear a response he turned to see you a couple feet away standing still like you were avoiding seeing the next display. “What, is one moving or something?”, he chuckled to himself making his way the closer he got the more it made sense. Beetles. Your worst fear especially the green buzzing ones that flew around in the summer.

“Ah, stumbling with your worst enemy huh?”, he smiled, “I don’t know if you know this baby but it’s dead won’t do anything see”, he tapped on the glass as if to make a point but you continued to look away with disgust. “Baby, it’s not gonna fly on you”, he chuckled finding your disguise of the beetle kinda cute he could help but lean in to give you a kiss on your cheek. But the moment he was gonna press a small kiss onto your cheek you turned his lips landing on your lips, his and yours eyes widened when his lips lingered before he quickly pulled back his hand going to his lips, standing up straight.

“I-I’ll go get us something from the cafe”, he said quickly speed walking away hiding his flushed face because that was y’all’s first kiss together.
