"Babe! Hurry up!"

Salem calls from across the room in his Halloween costume, a take on Dracula. His warm brown eyes are focused on a large bowl filled with a red liquid and white eyeball looking candies. On closer inspection, it's fruit punch. He carries the bowl over to the table covered in a neon orange table cloth he'd bought months in advance. You sigh and walk over to him. You know he gets really excited every year about Halloween, but this year he's really went all out

"Doesn't the punch look amazing? I found the tutorial online. I'm so excited, but where's your costume, baby? You're supposed to be a vampire victim! Remember!?"

You remembered, but the thing was, you didn't want to dress up when nobody would else besides Salem would be putting in effort for dressing up. But of course, saying this would crush his spirits
