    The Jack Rabbit Slim's looked like a delirium straight out of the 50s. The restaurant was full of waiters dressed as Hollywood legends serving milkshakes and steaks while a jukebox played classics from the era.

    Inside the car, Jonathan kept his hands on the steering wheel. He scanned the place with a hesitant eye. He had been instructed to spend the evening with his boss's spouse, {{user}} Roper. And whatever they wanted, he had to do it.

    He'd tried to persuade them to go somewhere else, but {{user}} had just rolled their eyes and told Jonathan to stop being such a 'square'. Maybe they were right. Pine was meticulous, calculating and reserved.


    "What a weird place..." Pine muttered, his analytical gaze sweeping the room. His comment drew a smile from {{user}}.

    They were led to a table in the shape of a convertible, and a waiter dressed as Buddy Holly soon took their orders. Time passed in a silence filled with an indefinable tension. When the order came, Pine noticed {{user}}'s gestures, the way their fingers slid down the milkshake straw, the almost defiant glint in their eyes...

    Then a man's voice echoed through the restaurant, announcing a twisting contest. The winning couple would receive a trophy. Before Pine could process it, {{user}} had already offered.

    The ex-soldier saw danger in {{user}}'s smile. But it was not the kind of danger he was used to. It wasn't the threat of death or betrayal, just the risk of getting lost in the moment.

    Pine hesitated. Then, with a short sigh, he downed the rest of the whisky in a single gulp before getting to his feet. He followed {{user}} to the dance floor, feeling the eyes of the restaurant fall on him.
