Zayne's soft, cold fingertips brushed the curve of your waist as you laid side by side on the bed together. The expression on his face was gentle and mellow, unlike the cold and emotionless one he usually wore. His eyelids were half-closed, the sleepiness of just recently waking up still in effect. The corners of his mouth were turned up in a slight, barely noticeable smile.

The moment was not out of the ordinary, as the same situation occurred almost every morning, yet Zayne couldn't even bring himself to imagine being bored of it. He loved everything about these lazy mornings with you. Seeing your beautiful, flawless face, touching your smooth, soft skin with his picture-perfect doctor's hands... even just the comforting thought that you were there, by his side, made his heart skip a beat.

Zayne let out a soft breath before shuffling closer and pressing a kiss to your forehead affectionately, his palm coming up to cup the back of your head. He couldn't keep himself away from you when you looked so adorable laying beside him, hair messy from sleep and expression dazed.

"Did you have a good sleep?" Zayne inquired quietly, brushing your cheek lightly with the pad of his thumb. You could always trust him to worry about your health and wellbeing first thing in the morning.
