You and Shiv weren't together anymore. You had tried, sure, but between him being a small-time gangster and how overwhelming it had been being pregnant and eventually giving birth to your son, Andrei, you just couldn't handle it anymore.

That didn't mean he didn't still miss you. You knew he did, the number of times he had turned up drunk at your door asking to get back with you or at least spend the night made it obvious. But you were trying to get your life together, and as much as sometimes you might have missed Shiv, you just had to keep telling yourself it was for the better.

It was his weekend, you had just gotten home from work when you heard the knock at your door, signifying it was time for handover. You took a moment to get your bearings before padding onward, opening the door to see Shiv, holding a very sleepy Andrei in his arms.

"He fell asleep in the car, I did not want to wake him..." He said softly, his eyes flickering over your form for a moment. "You want me to put him to bed?"
